Can I upload my own photo?
Yes. Add as many photos or logos as you like, on the front, the back, both or all the way around, as JPG or PNG files up to 40 MB each, from your computer or from your phone with the studio’s QR code. The bigger the photo, the sharper the mug; the studio tells you if a photo will look blurry at the size you chose. Your photos are stored privately and used only to make your mug.
Can I see it on a mug first?
Yes. The studio shows your mug in 3D, front and back, and before you pay it shows the exact print file we print from. Nothing prints until you approve it, and our team checks every design before it prints.
Will the colors look exactly like my screen?
Very close. The layout, photos and words print exactly as you approved them. A screen glows and a glazed mug doesn’t, so colors can look a little softer on the mug, most of all in very dark photos. Our team checks every design before it prints and emails you if anything looks off.
Are the pictures on this site real?
The mugs under “Mugs we made” are real mugs we made for customers, shown with their permission. The example photos in the studio’s designs (made-up people and pets), the “Most popular” mug pictures and some of the room scenes are made with AI from our real mugs and designs. Your mug prints only the photos and words you choose.
How fast, really?
Order by 1:30 PM Mountain time on a weekday (3:30 PM for One-Day shipping) and it ships the same day: made and shipped in about 3 hours on average, counted from the end of your 30-minute window to change the order. Later orders, and orders on weekends and federal holidays, ship the next weekday. “Shipped” means handed to the carrier; transit comes after that and depends on the shipping you choose at checkout.
Can I get it by a certain day?
Often, yes. In the studio, enter the day you need it under the delivery estimate: it tells you which shipping speed arrives in time for your ZIP code, and checkout says the same next to each shipping choice. Delivery dates are the carriers’ estimates.
Can I change or cancel my order?
Yes, for 30 minutes after you pay. Open your order from the order email to change the design, the rim and handle color or the gift note, or to cancel for a full refund. After that, your mug is being made.
Are your mugs microwave and dishwasher safe?
Yes, in every rim & handle color except Gold. The Gold rim color, the 24K gold mug and any gold, silver or bronze leaf border are hand wash only: do not microwave them, and they are not dishwasher safe.
Is the 24K gold mug dishwasher or microwave safe?
No. The 24K gold mug is finished by hand with real gold leaf: hand wash only, do not microwave, and it is not dishwasher safe. The same care applies to any mug with a gold, silver or bronze leaf border.
What’s the difference between the 24K gold mug and a 24K gold leaf border?
The gold and the price are the same: real 24K gold leaf, applied by hand, $68.98 in total. The 24K gold mug has a black rim, handle and inside, and offers more gilding styles. For a different rim color, choose the personalized mug ($18.99) and add a 24K gold leaf border (+$49.99). Both are hand wash only.
Do you charge sales tax?
We add sales tax where we are registered to collect it, which today means orders shipped to Utah. Checkout shows the tax, if any, before you pay. Shipping is not taxed.
What if my mug arrives damaged or misprinted?
If your mug arrives damaged, misprinted or different from the preview you approved, send us a photo within 30 days of delivery and we’ll remake it free or refund you. No need to send it back. Write to us with your order number and the photo. See Returns & damage.
Are custom mugs returnable?
Custom and gold mugs are made just for you, so they are non-returnable, except when they arrive damaged, defective, or materially different from the preview you approved.
Which side is the front?
When you hold the mug in your right hand, the front faces out and the back faces you. You can print on the front, the back, or both.
Can you clean up my photo or remove the background?
Yes. The studio’s free self-serve tools remove a photo’s background in one tap. Or let our team do the work before printing: photo cleanup (brighter, sharper, better framed) for $3.49, background removal for $5.99, or both for $7.99.
Can I send it as a gift?
Yes. Choose a gift box (Safe-Box protection, a red bag and a heart tag), or a gift box with your note printed on a card (up to 300 characters).

Yes. Every mug in one order counts, whatever its design. 12+ mugs: 10% off and free Standard shipping in the lower 48. 25+: 20% off. 50+: 30% off. 100+: 35% off. 250+: 40% off.
